What is a mentor or coach?
A Mentor or Coach is, a person in your life who helps you achieve your highest potential in a specific area.
What I like about this definition is that it states, “in a specific area.” Coaches are always associated with athletes and sports. Where are other areas coaching applies? Something to think about.

When you look at the list above, it applies to all types of mentors and coaches. The mentor or coach in your life work to help you reach your highest potential. So why work with a Wellness Coach? Before I discuss this let’s look at a recent example of why coaching, in general, is so important.

What about Tony Robbins? He himself is a mentor and coach to millions of people. Do you think he had a mentor or a coach? He has had several in his life. He had a mentor even before he was famous. At age 50, Jim Rohn inspired a young 17 year old Tony Robbins. Over the course of Tony’s life he has had many mentor and coaches.
Now I know this is on a larger scale than you at home wanting to make a few habit changes. Think about this, what potential could you reach if you hired a Wellness Coach? How different would your life be?
Having a coach should not cause fear and anxiety. And having a coach isn’t a luxury. It is a necessity. In order to reach our highest potential we need a coach or mentor with us. I have tried to coach myself out of my own habits and it is very hard. I’m not going to say impossible but it will feel like it and most likely we give up before we get to our goal.
Coaches and mentors have been around for hundreds of years. It is important to remember they are there to help and support you. Here are a few examples of how my coach has helped me…
- Be more focused to reach my personal and professional goals.
- Learn to look at my eating habits from a different perspective.
- Find the “why” I’m motivated to live healthier.
- Step outside my comfort zone to grow my business.
- Gain confidence in personal and professional relationships.
- Have accountability around the goals I set for myself.
- Sleep better and have a routine.
We are all a work in progress and never reach the end. It is important to be the best version of ourselves right now in the present moment. I tell women who want to work with me, “I will meet you right where you are at.” We all have very different lives.
